Today's title comes courtesy of an interaction between Kasey and her dad, Ben. We were playing Glendale Train, which everyone has had to improvise a break for. This was not the first time Kasey and Ben had played those breaks, but you know how it is with improv. You make it up on the spot,… Continue reading Tip Jar Jam #33: When You’re Hot, You’re Hot!

I came away with a new nickname--AJ--for "Alpha Jammer" and Kathy Hanson was tagged "AJ Jr" for her outstanding leadership in the late night jams… Continue reading Women’s Banjo Camp–WOW! WOW! WOW!

Tip Jar Jam #30: “You Sounded Just Like Lester!”
So right after Scott finished singing the Flatt and Scruggs' song Down The Road, which he had kicked off on the banjo, Bob A says, "You sounded just like Lester!" And Scott said, "But not like Earl??? I was going for Earl!" Bob, realizing that his large and heart-felt compliment had misfired, immediately… Continue reading Tip Jar Jam #30: “You Sounded Just Like Lester!”
The Longest Day Jam: A Huge Success!
Our Longest Day Jam, held Friday, June 21, in Winchester was a huge success! By my calculations, we raised $5410! (This is adding together the money for the team, Murphy's Misfits, and the money that was donated in my name, Murphy Hicks Henry.) Thanks, again, to all of you who donated. I've tried to send… Continue reading The Longest Day Jam: A Huge Success!
